MEET Majd!

My Name is Majd Jaafar and I am in Licensed Clinical Social work. Through the therapeutic process, I hope to help clients increase their self-understanding and draw on their own strengths and resiliency to improve wellbeing. Let’s work together to find your path to wellness by identifying barriers which may be keeping you from moving forward or healing from past experiences.
I utilize a number of approaches which include but are not limited to CBT, trauma informed therapy/care, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing to help clients reach their desired goals. Most importantly I offer a multicultural, compassionate and holistic approach in all the work that I do. I have experience working with individuals seeking help in various settings including Community Health Centers,Inpatient Hospital, and outpatient counseling. I strive to help people address different areas of need including anxiety, depression, mood regulation, trauma, gender identity, sexual identity, substance use, grief, and crisis intervention.
I am Proud to Identify myself as a person Of Color therapist. Although a person of Color identity may not be a source of distress or the primary reason they seek therapy. I understand how being a part of a marginalized community may compound other mental health needs. I believe that having a good connection with your therapist is critical to successful therapy and healing. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients could learn more about their struggles and symptoms and find ways to grow and heal. I’m fluent in Arabic, Vietnamese and Spanish. I love drawing, biking, hiking and pets, I love grilling and Spicy food! I look forward to meeting you!
